At the Texas State Fair in Dallas, Tex., in 1911, Havens&rsqo; became one of the earliest known aerial photographers when, with the help of a local news photographer a Kodak camera was mounted (lower right portions of the photo) on the leading edge, allowing Havens to snap one photo on each flight he made around the area.
