If you have seen Top Gun - Maverick, then you’ll recognize this movie mockup that Capt. Pete Mitchell supposedly flew. Actually, it also has similarities to NASA’s soon to fly sonic boom evaluation aircraft and the proposed SR-72 hypersonic RPV. One reason it looks so realistic is that it was built by Lockheed Martin Skunk Works personnel for the movie.
